'Don¡¯t know how to behave, rude': Woman's post about 'not hiring Gen Z' sparks debate
A viral social media post highlights concerns about Gen Z employees' workplace behaviour, with some employers hesitant to hire them despite their skills. Critiques include perceived rudeness, difficulty collaborating, and prioritizing personal feelings over others¡¯.
A recent social media article regarding Gen Z behaviour in the workplace has gone viral, raising concerns about their capacity to communicate with coworkers. Harnidh Kaur, an X user, expressed her thoughts, stating that many of her acquaintances are now hesitant to hire Gen Z employees¡ªnot because they lack knowledge or abilities, but because of issues with their behaviour and social relationships at work.
So many of my friends are now not hiring gen z NOT because they aren¡¯t smart or good at their jobs (they are) but because they¡¯re rude, difficult to work with, and don¡¯t know how to behave with other colleagues. Honestly hard to defend a lot of the stuff lol.

To quote a someone who¡¯s really put in the effort to try and bridge the gap- ¡®they expect everyone to make space for and care about their feelings but if you ask them to care about anyone else¡¯s, it¡¯s too much work for them and they lash out¡¯

Ouch :/
In her post, she quoted someone who has attempted to bridge the generational divide, noting a typical complaint: "They expect everyone to make space for and care about their feelings, but if you ask them to care about anyone else's, it's too much work for them, and they lash out."
The post sparked a debate among internet users
X users have a variety of reactions to the worries presented concerning Gen Z's working behaviour. Some expressed understanding, recognizing that, while Gen Z may struggle with social skills in the workplace, they are passionately concerned about issues that previous generations sometimes disregarded.
Here's what many users wrote.
True in some cases, but I think in reality it¡¯s a combination of the following, which I think is more positive than anything, and probably a shift to a more American working style:

1) More interested in solving real problems and less interested in paper pushing / admin work ¡ª¡
way to go with the generalisation!

I can say the same for boomers and millenials who don't want to pay their employees fairly, have no life of their own, want everyone to slog at work, and are mostly intolerant of diversity and yes, they generalise :)
The new generation wants¡
same story with every generation.

they think the next one is soft.
The old generations eventually have to adapt or go home, and they are one of the smartest generations. The older ones have an ego problem if they feel hurt.
