Plans for the world's first AI passenger plane were announced at an event, and the details will astound you. Embraer, the aerospace giant, partnered Bombardier to reveal their futuristic vision at the National Business Aviation Association event in Orlando, Florida.
What are the specifications of the AI plane?
According to the Sun, this new-age airplane will have a cabin divided into three zones. One of the zones features a lounge. The passenger will also have the option of sitting in the cockpit. ¡°The concept presented was a fully autonomous aircraft that will eliminate the need for a cockpit and enable new cabin configurations, such as a forward lounge,¡± Embraer told AertoTime. "Sustainability would be in the DNA of the airplane with a green technology propulsion system based either on SAF, electrification and/or hydrogen,¡± the company added.
According to the company, ¡°the jet has not been worked on since the initial idea was released.¡±
Are there more companies in this direction?
According to the Sun, other companies are working on the same principle, which might help Embraer realize its objectives.
According to reports, commercial airlines and military aviation have already begun to investigate the potential applications of AI in aviation. However, this technique presents a number of technological hurdles and questions.
