People Trespassing Railway Tracks Are Quite Literally Running Into 'Yamraj', At Mumbai Stations
Every day, commuters put their lives in danger by crossing railway tracks, just to save a couple of minutes. No amount of warning by the officials and reprimand by the police, can prevent people from doing what can only be considered a stupid stunt. So, Western Railways came up with a rather creative idea to deter people from taking a walk on the tracks - It launched an awareness campaign on November 6, which involved the defaulters meeting Yamraj.
People who tried to cross the tracks were tackled by a man dressed as ¡®Yamraj¡¯ (God of Death); he not only stopped them from doing so, but also carried carried them back to safety. We're not sure how grown-ups feel about being lugged around like suitcases, much less by a dude dressed as Yamraj, but hey, if you're not grown-up enough to follow rules, you probably deserve it.
The awareness campaign was launched in Mumbai at two local stations, Malad and Andheri, because of the number of defaulters here.
The Western Railways took to Twitter and wrote, ¡®Do not cross the track unauthorizedly, it can be fatal. If you cross the track in an unauthorized way, then Yamraj is standing in front of you. In Mumbai, Western Railways in collaboration with the RPF is making people aware through the character of 'Yamraj¡¯¡¯.
Take a look at ¡®Yamraj¡¯:

In one of the videos being shared on social media, a man can be seen be praying as soon as he sees Yamraj, who picks him up and returns to safety.
FYI, 'Yamraj' is actually a jawan from the Railway Police Force (RPF).
This Yamraj ji saves lives. He catches people who are endangering their lives by trespassing the railway tracks, but to save them. This Yamraj picks people to release them safely. Please do NOT cross tracks, it's dangerous. pic.twitter.com/PT81eYVajL

Most people thought it was a genius idea - creative and hilarious, and we cannot disagree.
We're pretty sure the policeman does not enjoy lifting full-grown adults and carrying them off the tracks, so maybe give him a break and use the proper path to get to your designated platform? We assure you, it will be safer and much more comfortable.
