TikTok bans Barbie Hsu's ex-husband Wang Xiaofei and his mother Zhang Lan's accounts for disrespecting the actress after her death
TikTok (Doyuin) has banned the accounts of Wang Xiaofie and his mother Zhang Lan, accusing them of disrespecting Barbie Hsu and her family after her death. Recently, Barbie Hsu's ex-husband DJ Koo also slammed Wang for attacking his family and spreading false information about her.

TikTok (also known as Douyin) has permanently banned the accounts of Barbie Hsu's ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei, and his mother, Zhang Lan, for allegedly disseminating false information about Barbie Hsu on their accounts. The ban comes after Barbie Hsu's recent passing and Wang and Zhang's insensitive social media activities being called out by many, including Hsu's husband DJ Koo and her family.
Barbie Hsu passed away on February 1 due to complications related to Influenza A. A beloved figure in the Asian entertainment industry, Hsu, also known by her stage name Big S, was widely recognized for her role in the Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden.

According to Douyin's announcement, their behavior has disrupted public order and gone against social norms and moral standards. Furthermore, their actions were seen as disrespectful to the deceased, Barbie Hsu, and her family, causing them undue harm and distress. Their social media activities also sparked a strong and widespread public backlash, with many people expressing outrage and condemnation on the platform.
Barbie Hsu's family responds to false claims allegedly spread by Wang Xiaofie's family
Chinese influencer Wo Shi Xia Xiao Jian, the self-proclaimed godson of Zhang Lan, in his recent stream said that the chartered flight that brought Barbie's ashes back to Taiwan from Japan, where she was holidaying with her family before her death, was paid for by her ex-husband.
After Xiao Jian's claims, Wang Xiaofei allegedly chartering a flight to accommodate Barbie Hsu and her family became a trending topic on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
The rumor gained so much traction that it prompted Barbie Hsu's younger sister, Dee Hsu, to step in and publicly debunk the claims. Dee Hsu took to social media to set the record straight and clear up any misconceptions.

DJ Koo slams Wang Xiofei
Barbie Hsu's husband DJ Koo also lashed out at Wang Xiofei while mourning the death of his late wife. In a heartfelt post, he wrote, "My angel returned to the sky"; however, his post also took a strong tone as he criticized certain individuals for their insensitive and malicious behavior following Hsu's death.
DJ Koo stated that even before he and his family could properly grieve and come to terms with their loss, they were already being targeted by malicious individuals who were attacking them and spreading false information. He specifically mentioned that some people were pretending to be sad and paying their respects, while others were creating fake news stories about insurance and expenses in an attempt to tarnish his family's reputation.
DJ Koo's statement appears to be a thinly veiled criticism of Wang Xiaofei. The reference to someone, as he was spotted walking in the rain without an umbrella on the night of February 3 after returning to China upon hearing of Hsu's passing. A video of Wang Xiaofei walking in the rain had gone viral on social media, with some interpreting it as emotional distress over his wife's death.
Wang Xiaofei's ex-girlfriend, Zhang Yingying, recently wrote a strongly worded note on Weibo, criticizing the businessman for his alleged pretentious game after the passing of Barbie Hsu. She blamed him for putting her through significant distress, making accusations of infidelity, as well as physical and mental abuse.
