Rare Condition Causes 74-YO Man To Grow A Horn-Like Structure On His Head After Injury
Shyam Lal Yadav a resident of Rahli Village in Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh suffers from a rare condition which resulted in the formation of a horn-like mound on his head several years ago. Doctors have said that this condition was extremely rare and would be sent to be published in the International Journal of Surgery.
Shyam Lal Yadav, a resident of Rahli Village in Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh, suffers from a rare condition which resulted in the formation of a horn-like mound on his head, several years ago. The 74-year-old man went through an operation to have the horn-like structure removed.
Just after a head injury several years ago, the growth started forming on his skin. The mound got bigger over time and it seemed a bit strange. Later, he got used to it but started cutting it off on his own.

When it continued to grow, Yadav, consulted doctors, but they too could not find any solution to this problem. He finally went to Sagar¡¯s Bhagyoday Tirth Hospital and got it removed. The doctors at the hospital said that Yadav was suffering from a Sebaceous Horn condition which generally occurs on the sun-exposed areas of the skin.
The Sebaceous Horn is also popularly known as ¡®Devil¡¯s Horn¡¯. Doctor Vishal Gajbhiye said that the mound was removed in an operation, following an X-ray that showed that the roots of the mound were not too deep.
