Video of Intoxicated Man Driving Car On Bangkok Runway Close To A Plane, Goes Viral
The video taken from a distance by an anonymous ground employee shows Bangkok airport security vehicles escorting the car off the runway even though the aircraft was still in motion.
In a major safety violation a man drove his car onto the runway at Thailand's Suvarnabhumi Airport, and the video has left people perplexed. The driver was filmed perilously driving on the runway alongside a Boeing 777 that had landed seconds ago.

The video of the incident which took place on Thursday afternoon, was shared online and became a topic of conversation.
¡°I don¡¯t know how the car made it onto the runway,¡± a report translated the person filming the video saying.
According to the Thai PSB News, at approximately 2:39 pm, security at Suvarnabhumi Airport (TASOT) was informed of an intruder entering the air zone. The security team immediately intercepted and detained the vehicle and arrested the driver for further questioning; he was sent to the Suvarnabhumi Airport Police Station.

As the video began to circulate widely, a statement was issued by the Airports of Thailand, stating that the investigation found that the person was driving under the influence of alcohol when the security cover was violated.
The driver, identified as Prathipat Masakul, was intoxicated by substance abuse, and urine tests for tainted methamphetamine were conducted, according to a report by Thansettakij. It added that a number of drugs concealed in the rear bonnet were found by police officers.

¡®The accused admitted that he had acted due to drunkenness and unknowingly drove through the restricted area', Matichon Online reported.
Therefore, the police reported the following allegations of intrusion into restricted areas inside the airport; illegal drug possession; and illegal use and carrying Category 1 drugs.
