One simply cannot understand what happened in the video until one watches it multiple times, and in slow motion. That is one of the reasons why the CCTV footage has gone viral - people have been trying to understand what exactly happened.
In the video, a woman can be seen walking on the pavement while an auto driver is standing beside his auto, apparently busy with something. Just when the woman is about to walk out of the CCTV camera range, the auto driver comes ¡®flying¡¯ in her direction from feet away and lands right on top of her.
Now, reports have revealed the culprit was a wire that was connecting a red line violation detection camera and was hanging loose. It got stuck in the wheel of the auto-rickshaw.

The driver was trying to free his auto of the wire when a passing, speeding vehicle pulled the wire with great force. As a result the auto driver was caught in the wire and catapulted in the air towards the woman named Sunita K. The incident reportedly occurred on July 16 around 11:34 am.
Sunita, a hotelier, was walking to her hotel at TC Palya Junction when the accident occurred.
"It all happened in a fraction of a second. Someone called my name and I turned around to see why. The next thing I see is an auto driver flying towards me like an Anjaneya. Then he crashed into me and I collapsed," Sunita told Bangalore Mirror.

Sunita was injured and she had to get 52 stitches. Thankfully her husband Krishnamurthy, a health inspector, was working nearby and he took her to the hospital.
The auto driver was not injured in the accident.
Looks like one¡¯s got to watch for dangling wires along with potential out of control vehicles as well on the pavement.
