Chinese Airline 'Lucky Air' Sues Man Who Threw Coins Into Airplane's Engine For 'Good Luck'
Lucky Air staff quizzed passengers after finding two one yuan coins on the ground near the left engine. The man named Lu confessed and said it was because of his crippling fear of flying. His mindless act caused the flight to be grounded and cancelled altogether. He has now been detained for a week and faces legal action.
People who are scared of flying have a whole list of superstitions, from tappers, finger-crossers to now those who throw coins into a plane's engine.
And this man who threw the coins into the engine didn't think twice about the consequences and the airlines is now going to sue him.

The South China Morning Post quoted the Airline as saying, ¡°the incident caused a direct economic loss of nearly 140,000 yuan, and our company will press charges against the passenger in accordance with the law¡±.
The 28-year-old man who was travelling with his wife and one-year-old son has now been detained for a week and faces legal action.

Someone needs to inform folks over there that tossing coins into aircraft engines is the opposite of good luck. ?

The SCMP quoted the Chinese Airline Lucky Airline online statement, 'Throwing money for blessings has a long history ¡ but there are places where you should not throw coins. Plane engines, for example'.
According to reports, the Chinese air carrier Lucky Air has reported cases of coin throwing twice earlier as well.
