¡®Coronavirus-Shaped Hailstones' Seen As 'Sign From God' By Mexican People To Stay Inside Homes
Click here to find out how people in mexico thought 'hailstones shaped like Coronavirus' were a sign from God to stay home.
You know how when you are out and about doing something you shouldn¡¯t and you ¡®see a sign from God¡¯ that deters you from doing it? And you take that sign seriously? Well, that is exactly what happened in Mexico, though the superstitious belief in this case, might only prove to be beneficial for everyone.
¡®Coronavirus-shaped hailstones¡¯ rained in Mexico and people there believe that the ¡®phenomenon¡¯ could be a sign from God.
Bystanders in the municipality of Montemorelos, in the Northern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, shared images of the spiked pieces of ice to social media- terrified, according to a report by Daily Mail.
One person believe that the weather was God¡¯s reminder to ¡®stay put¡¯, which others on social media commented it was 'subliminal messaging from our creator'.
Was It Really A Sign From God Though?
Coronavirus shape has been shown to be spherical with large spikes, and yes one could think it looks almost similar to the spiked hail that fell on the Mexican city.
However according to the report, Meteorologist and consultant of the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), Jose Miguel Vinas, said the hailstone shape was actually pretty normal.
Explaining the process he said, ¡°Inside a storm, a hailstone will start off as a small spherical form and accumulate layers of ice on top. During very strong storms when the hailstone are already quite big and smash together, many of them fuse together, smashing together and squashing each other, forming spikes of ice.¡±
He further said, ¡°So what is falling is a squashed disks of ice, smashed into that shape by a violent blow or the fusing of different sized hailstones, which results in this star shape.¡±
Not aware of this process or simply looking for divine signs, people on social media left comments like, 'Yesterday coronavirus hailstone, God sent it to our home to remind us to stay put¡¯. Another one said, 'Is this a subliminal message from our creator?'
Well, as long as people are being made to stay indoors, ¡®divine intervention¡¯ works. In the last 24 hours Mexico has recorded the highest single day spike in the number of coronavirus cases, 2713, taking the total number of cases to 54,346.
