A group of holidaymakers had an absolute nightmare after they had to helplessly watch on as their luggage ended up in the sea.
Passengers on board P&O's Ventura cruise were waiting to disembark when they had to witness the unfortunate sight of their bags floating in the sea after a hoist snapped, The Sun reported.
Lifeboats soon scrambled to recover the 20 suitcases out of the dock in Southampton, UK, but only half were rescued.
The ship had just returned to the Southampton Mayflower terminal from Amsterdam.
A video of the incident was shot by warehouse worker Ally Day, who shared the clip on TikTok. Many other passengers also took pictures of the unfortunate event.

¡°They take the cases off 20 at a time via a hoist. Staff said the hoist had snapped sending 20 cases into the sea with only ten recovered. We got our cases off but felt really bad for others," Ally reportedly said in the video.
A spokeswoman for P&O Cruises said: ¡°We swiftly put our protocols in place to recover the luggage and we have been in touch with all affected guests to apologise and advise on follow up contact.¡±
In an unrelated incident, a woman who lost her luggage on a TUI flight finally found it, but the problem was they were 2,100 kilometres away.
Laura Simpson, 35, was going on a family holiday to Menorca island in the Mediterranean Sea. But when they reached their holiday destination, they found out that their suitcases were missing.
Laura tried to connect with the TUI airline to figure out where the luggage was for hours but she had no luck. After two days, Laura spotted her suitcase in a photo after reading an online article showing rows of luggage lined up at Manchester Airport.
She then informed the airline that she had seen her luggage online but she said that she was not sent any of the suitcases. She said nobody even contacted them. The suitcases contained asthma and eczema medication.
"The person I spoke to yesterday said they had actually closed our investigation because our bags had been returned even though they hadn't so they had to reopen it," she told The Mirror.
"We are now on day six out of seven without the cases. They have given us €25 a day per suitcase, but a swimsuit here is €45 alone. Nowhere sells underwear so we¡¯ve had to travel to a nearby town for that. We have nothing," she added.
The spokesperson at TUI said that they were aware passengers had trouble getting their luggage and they are looking into it.
