Recently a video of a woman licking ice cream from a container in a store and keeping it back in the refrigerator went viral.
In the video, the woman can be seen opening Blue Bell Ice Cream¡¯s Tin Roof flavored ice cream, licking the top layer and putting it back in the store¡¯s freezer after someone in the video can be heard saying, ¡°Put it back.¡± All the while the woman is laughing.

Reportedly, the Twitter account that posted the video, Optimus Primal, has no clue who the woman in the video is and said that he found the video on actress Alexis Fields Jackson¡¯s Instagram.
When contacted, Fields Jackson reportedly said that she posted the video, ¡°to warn people about how disgusting folks are.¡± Apparently Instagram later removed her video after she was ¡®threatened and defamed¡¯ by users who thought it was her in the video.
Blue Bell Ice Cream issued a statement stating that it was in talks with ¡°law enforcement, retail partners and social media platforms¡± and is investigating the incident.
¡°Food safety is a top priority, and we work hard to provide a safe product and maintain the highest level of confidence from our consumers,¡± the company reportedly said.
Twitterati were left disgusted and the video of the woman whose idea of fun was licking ice cream and keeping it back not received well.
Some are scarred thinking that the container might have been sold to someone else. There's also a bunch of people asking Blue Bell why it doesn't protect the containers with seals.
Hey Blue Bell... maybe consider a plastic seal on your ice cream?@ILoveBlueBell https://t.co/eMuQnLljO8

Most ice cream has a seal beneath the lid, right @HaagenDazs_US @benandjerrys @fiascogelato @PinocchioIceCre ??

The company seemed to have an explanation for this.
Apparently the half gallon containers of ice cream are ¡®flipped upside down¡¯ when they are produced and then sent to the hardening room, ¡°where the ice cream freezes to the lid creating a natural seal. The lids are frozen tightly to the carton. Any attempt at opening the product should be noticeable.¡±
The company put out an official tweet the moment the video started doing rounds on Twitter.
Hello! We want to thank our consumers for alerting us to the recent food tampering incident. We take this issue very seriously and are currently working with the appropriate authorities. For more information, please click here https://t.co/bs2Uaq6BiR

The company did not reveal where the incident took place even after receiving multiple requests for the same. Going by the woman's now-deleted Instagram profile, many social media users believe that the video was shot in Texas.
So, be careful if you're in Texas and reaching for a tub of ice cream. Just sayin'.
