Video: Drunk Man Dials Emergency Number To Check If The Cops Would Turn Up
An incident has surfaced in Haryana's Panchkula wherein a man dialled the police emergency number 112 at midnight for a rather weird reason.
As a citizen, it is one's right to know if you're ever in trouble the authorities will actually help you or not. What better way to check it out than dial 112 to know if police are always is available for protection.
This is what happened at Haryana's Panchkula city. A man who was seemingly inebriated dialled 112 at midnight just to check if the cops would actually show up or not.
A video of the same has emerged where cops can be seen asking the man why did he call him. According to Times Of India, the said drunk man is Naresh Kumar is a 42-year-old daily wager by profession who called the police control room at around 12 am on Friday and asked for help. In just 15 minutes the police found him. When asked about the emergency call, he said that he missed the evening bus from Morni, so he decided to walk towards home.
On his way, he consumed beer and dialled the 112 number to check whether police would come at this late hour. The police officers didn't seem convinced and kept asking Kumar if there actually was an emergency but he kept saying he just wanted to check.

We definitely don't endorse this behaviour and prank calling the authorities is an offence.
