Man Gets 25 Identical Lottery Tickets For The Same Draw, Wins 25 Times!
Luck favoured a man in Florida when he bought 25 identical lottery tickets on the same draw and won on all 25 of them.
A man got more than a lifetime's worth of luck in one go. He got lucky not once or twice but 25 times! Raymond Harrington, from Virginia, US, bought 25 identical lottery tickets for the same drawing and won... 25 times. The man won $1,25,000.
Harrington reportedly visited the Wegnam's store in Virginia Beach and bought 25 $1 tickets for Virginia Lottery's July 17 'Pick 4' drawing.
It was obviously a gamble, how people buy more than one ticket in the hopes that at least one of them turn out to be the lucky one. Well when the results were announced Harrington found that all 25 of his tickets had winning numbers.
Each of his tickets won $5,000, taking his total prize to $1,25,000. "Something just told me to play 25 times," Harrington reportedly said after winning the lottery.
He wants to invest the money in his sons¡¯ college education.
In a similar case of luck turning out to be really good for a person, or in this particular case, perseverance with luck, made a man a millionaire.
After 30 years of running the same number in the Colorado Lottery, Joe B finally received the sweet taste of a win. Double that taste because he not just won once, but twice.
According to a 9 News report, Joe B won two Powerball jackpots which were worth $1 million each. He had bought the winning tickets from different places, one from a 7-Eleven at Lake Avenue and another at a Loaf and Jug. According to Colorado's Lottery's Communications Director Meghan Dougherty, Joe B bought one ticket in the morning and the other one in the evening.
The state's Lottery earlier received approval to process winning tickets worth $10,000 or more at a touch-free, drive-through claims office in Pueblo since the pandemic has taken over everywhere.
Winners are supposed to make an appointment by calling the Colorado Lottery office to set appointments to claim their winnings. The prizes can also be sent over to the winners via mail.
May be Joe was playing the odds by betting on the same number for 30 years and slowly but surely it paid off.
Talk about good luck.
