Viral Video: Florida Man Casually Plays Golf As Alligator Approaches From Behind
With over one million of these large reptiles in the state, alligators are a fairly common sight in Florida and some can be found wandering in public places.
Whether it's cricket, tennis or golf, it is a universally known fact that men are super passionate about their sports. But a man was so indulged in playing golf that he didn't even flinch, despite knowing what danger he was in.
Alligator approaches golfer from behind
The state of Florida in the USA is known for the millions of alligators that call the place home. So maybe it is not a big deal for a local to see one, once in a while. But a Florida man was way too gutsy as he continued playing golf while an alligator approached from behind.
A video of the incident has gone viral where the golfer is taking his shot at the Heritage Landing Golf & Country Club in Naples, Florida, even as an alligator walks towards him from the rear.
"I was lining up my approach shot from about 125 [yards] out. I knew he was coming up diagonally behind me," Michael West told McClatchy News.
Facebook user Melissa Walsh posted the video on a page called Alligators of Florida. The video shows the man playing on a golf field. And, in his background, a huge alligator is seen slowly approaching him. He also turns around and looks at the reptile but instead of running away 每 that many would have done 每 he continues to play.
As soon as the golfer hit the ball towards the green, the alligator that apparently got within 15 feet of him, appeared to plop down and enjoy watching it go as if he was into golf. The man thought that the alligator was probably curious.
Watch the video:
"He was very likely headed to the bigger lake across the fairway," he said. "He was just going about his business. It was great. I get to have a dinosaur watch me play."
The scene would've been quite different if we were in this man's place.
