This German luxury fashion brand is in the news for launching a blue flip-flop worth ? 8,990. No, we aren't kidding. That's some price for a pair of blue slippers.
International brands grab eyeballs for selling something very basic for a price that will definitely shock people in the name of 'fashion'. But luxury fashion house Hugo Boss may have crossed the line this time.

Needless to say, Twitter is having a field day, with many opining that the flip-flops look specifically like the chappals that are found in desi households. To be honest, there is hardly a difference between the pricey flip-flops and your regular Hawaii chappals.
But clearly, nothing in the world is going to convince desis of the price quoted by Hugo Boss. They are out with the best reactions and are bargaining at Rs 150.
Desis have a laugh riot
"Even if i become a millionaire, i won¡¯t buy a chappal for this much amount," a user commented.

Hugo Boss is a luxury fashion house headquartered in Metzingen, Baden-W¨¹rttemberg, Germany. The company sells clothing, accessories, footwear, and fragrances. The luxury brand is one of the largest German clothing companies.
Far too often, luxury brands have been guilty of selling unusual items the average person could never find a purpose for.
Don¡¯t get me wrong. We love some wildness in fashion and always welcome fresh and futuristic styles. However, when we are tricked into believing that completely pointless clothing items and accessories are worth paying good money for, then you can count us out.
From bizarre shoes to garbage bags, we have seen it all. And, these crazy products are courtesy of the most celebrated fashion brands in the world. Luxury fashion houses like Gucci, Balenciaga, and Givenchy.
