Man makes dragon fruit tea
Posted from an Indian food blogger's Instagram account, 'the Great Indian Foodie', the video shows a boy making the absurd dragon fruit tea. The caption with the video read, "Pink Dragon Fruit waali chai ! Ye interesting reel aapke liye all the way from Bangladesh (Pink dragon fruit tea! This interesting reel is for you all the way from Bangladesh)." In the video, a boy can be seen pouring hot tea into cups. He then adds some dragon fruit pulp and finishes it with a spoonful of what seems like condensed milk.
The post, ever since it was posted, has garnered more than one lakh views and 2,300 likes, along with some mixed reactions from netizens in the comments section.
Netizens had mixed reactions
The video gathered many types of reactions, but people were mostly shocked. A user wrote, "Kuch interesting nai bhai..bas mood kharab kar diy, acha khasa Sunday ja raha tha." Another added, "Mar do bhai logo ko pata nahe kon se creativity chal rahe hai."
"Nooooooo," wrote an user. "What did I just see?" wrote another. "How to unsee it?" joked a user. "This is wow," expressed the fourth with heart emoticons. "How was it?" asked another user.
Dragon fruit is not new in beverages
This video might not have gotten a good reaction, but Dragon fruit is not new to beverages. This bright pink fruit has been included in smoothies, iced teas, and even cocktails since forever. In this video posted by the blogger, the fruit is being used in a hot tea, which might not have the best taste. The hot tea might reduce the flavour of the fruit as well. On the brighter side, dragon fruit has many health benefits. It contains high amounts of fibre that maintains blood sugar levels and avoids spikes among people suffering from diabetes. Regular consumption of this fruit can help balance blood sugar levels and prevent further medical consequences among diabetics.
