A video is going viral on social media showing a Lokayukta DSP in his underwear fighting with his neighbour in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
A video now going viral shows a Lokayukta DSP in his underwear fighting with his neighbour in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
The incident took place on Saturday, December 25.
Reportedly, the DSP was upset with the construction work going on in his neighbour's house as it had resulted in the dust coming on his BMW car, India Today reported. In this regard, he first fought with the neighbour and later filed a case against him.
The complainant, Vedant Sharma, is a DSP of the Ujjain Lokayukta unit. The neighbour, Sandeep Vij, is a retired bank officer and lives in Gujarat.
In the complaint, Sharma alleged that Vij, his neighbour, had come to him on Saturday morning and, after a heated argument, the duo got into a brawl due to which Sharma got injuries on his face and other parts of his body, as per Free Press Journal.
The CCTV footage shows the DSP attacking Vij,
and in retaliation, Vij also punched the DSP. For a moment, the DSP also lost his towel during the fight, but he kept on fighting with Vij, wearing underwear. Vij can be seeing running away a couple of minutes after the brawl started. But, the DSP can be seen chasing him with a stick moments later.
DSP Vedant Sharma blamed the construction work going on in Vij's house for things turning ugly.
¡°Because of the construction work, debris from his house is thrown outside my house and surroundings causing inconvenience in the locality. Also, the work causes dust in the area which causes inconvenience. Earlier, I requested him multiple times to get the work finished soon and also asked him to resolve the debris and dust issue, but to no avail,¡± DSP Sharma was quoted as saying by Free Press Journal.
¡°On the day of the incident, Vij came to me and threatened me, saying, ¡®Tumhari afsargiri nikal dunga' (I¡¯ll remove you from bureaucracy). Because I¡¯m a police officer, I responded in a manner that the police would normally respond when someone threatens them," Sharma added.
Vij, in a statement of his own, said that he had gone to Sharma to apologise for the inconvenience caused him because of the construction work. But, instead of a polite response, the DSP had burst out in anger and attacked him.
