To make an 'innovative' video, social media influencers can do almost anything nowadays. But one Instagrammer has landed in trouble because of that.
A video of a girl from Indore has gone viral on social media in which she was dancing at a traffic signal after the lights turned red. The dance video was recorded at Rasoma Square, which is one of the busiest roads in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
This girl named Shreya Kalra was seen grooving to Let Me Be Your Woman by Doja Cat.
She suddenly started dancing on the zebra crossing when the lights turned red. A person who had accompanied her captured the video of her dancing to the peppy song. Shreya danced at the signal until the lights went green again and also appealed to people to wear a mask through her video.
People stopped to look at the youngster dancing in the middle of the road and mistook it for a campaign that was started by the Indore Police for people who could volunteer to control and guide the traffic for an hour on their relatives¡¯ birthday.
While the cops on Tuesday seemed to be just in the mood for letting her go with a warning, but on Wednesday Kalra was served with a notice after the matter landed in Bhopal and Home minister Narottam Mishra too said he has directed police to act against the girl under the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act.
Whatever may be the intent but the method was wrong, said the minister, adding that action will be taken so that such things don¡¯t make a trend."
After the incident, Shreya changed the description of her video, denied breaking the traffic rules and said that she only wanted to spread awareness about wearing masks and stopping at a red light. She also added that she doesn't want anyone to take this video in the wrong way and doesn't want anyone to copy the same.
