What happened in the viral video?
The unfortunate run-in occurred in the second over of GT's innings as Gill executed a drive towards mid-off against Siraj and attempted a swift single. However, a collision ensued between them at the centre of the pitch before Gill dove to evade any mishap. Kohli, advancing from his fielding position, aimed at the stumps but was unsuccessful.

How did Kohli miss breaking the stumps?
If only Kohli had gotten to the stumps in time. A narrow miss here meant a narrow miss there, and Gill's quick dive saved him by a hair's width. Kolhi's expression said it all. It was an opportunity missed.
