In a video recently shared on Instagram by wildlife rescuer Rajesh Indori, a live Indian spectacled cobra was seen slithering inside a flush at someone's home. To Indori's credit, he was very professional about the whole episode and gently drew the cobra out using a water hose. Perhaps the reptile ended up in this situation because it was thirsty, something that can be seen in the way it reacted to the water from the water hose - it moved in the direction of the falling water taking tentative sips in between. It's an eye-opening episode that highlights how a little compassion, even if it's for animals, can easily prevent the worst outcomes. In this case, too, the snake was successfully rescued and no injuries were reported.
