The incident comes after two bulls injured an intern at IIT-Bombay, and both these incidents highlight the issue of stray cattle on the campus.

According to an IANS report, the incident occurred during a test on Saturday, in one of the lecture halls on the first floor of the Lecture Hall Complex building. Students also claimed that it was raining heavily when the incident happened, and the cow may have entered the building for shelter, straying into the lecture hall.
