Maharashtra: Government Employee Writes Letter To Boss To Allow Him To Come To Work On A Horse
Deshmukh works as an Assistant Accounts Officer in the Employment Guarantee Scheme Department at Nanded Collectorate and has written a letter to the Collector¡¯s office seeking permission to come to work daily on a horse.
Offices are resuming work slowly and employees have to go back to their workplaces after a whole year of staying at home. The biggest challenge of returning to work is the daily commute that none of us is used to anymore.
With the legit scare of contracting the infectious COVID-19 virus, people have rendered public transport unsafe. While many have chosen to travel by personal vehicles such as a car or two-wheeler, one government employee from Maharashtra's Nanded seems to have a different idea to get to work.
Satish Punjabrao Deshmukh has asked his employer for permission to commute to work every day on a horse.
Deshmukh works as an Assistant Accounts Officer in the Employment Guarantee Scheme Department at Nanded Collectorate and has written a letter to the Collector¡¯s office seeking permission to come to work daily on a horse.
According to the letter, he has suffered from back pain and is looking for a convenient way to reach his place of work timely every day.
Due to his medical condition, riding a bike to work seems very painful. So, in order to avoid riding a bike and not being able to afford a car, Satish had chosen to buy a horse instead.
'I have some issue in my spinal cord due to which I cannot use a two-wheeler to reach the office. I have decided to buy a horse for coming to the office on time. I request you that I am allowed to tie a horse on the premises of the collectorate,' Deshmukh wrote.
Not only does he want permission to arrive at work on a horse but also 'park' the animal within the office premises.
What do you think about his request?
