Man Accidentally Chops Off His Penis In Sleep While Dreaming Of Chopping Meat For Dinner

A dream turned into the worst nightmare for a farmer in Ghana.

A farmer in Ghana is in serious condition after allegedly chopping off his own penis while having a dream about slaughtering a goat to assist his wife in preparing dinner.

Kofi Atta, 47, was shocked to wake up when he felt sharp pains in his penis and scrotum, according to GHOne TV.

On Friday, August 12, the event occurred in Assin Fosu, a town in Ghana's Central Region.

According to the news source, Atta's wife, Adwoa Konadu, was away when the event occurred but learned about it after being contacted by their neighbors.

As soon as Kofi's wife returned home, "she discovered her husband bleeding from his manhood on a chamber pot" and holding his penis. She then "got her husband a diaper to help reduce blood flow" and promptly transferred her to a nearby hospital.

In an interview with BBC Pidgin, Atta revealed although he receives medical care, surgery is still necessary. He states he needs more money to go to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for the operation.

"I'm in the hospital right now, and they're giving me fluids and injections, but I need surgery. I no get money to fuel the ambulance, so they carried me to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for surgery," he told BBC Pidgin.

Atta claims he still doesn't know how he ended up with a knife after passing out in a chair.

"I dey sit inside chair wey I doze off, so as I dey sleep I dream say I dey cut meat wey dey in front of me. I no remember how I carry de knife, even me I dey confused," he added.

His penis was reattached, and six weeks after the operation, he was still able to get an erection, as stated by the doctors.
