Now. a nurse from South Dakota, US, has revealed that there are COVID-19 patients who do not believe in COVID-19. Despite being infected, they are still in utter denial about the existence of the novel coronavirus.
I have a night off from the hospital. As I¡¯m on my couch with my dog I can¡¯t help but think of the Covid patients the last few days. The ones that stick out are those who still don¡¯t believe the virus is real. The ones who scream at you for a magic medicine and that Joe Biden is

I can¡¯t stop thinking about it. These people really think this isn¡¯t going to happen to them. And then they stop yelling at you when they get intubated. It¡¯s like a fucking horror movie that never ends. There¡¯s no credits that roll. You just go back and do it all over again.

After her Twitter thread describing her experience started circulating on the internet, Doering appeared on CNN¡®s New Day on Monday, to talk about how despite the surge in COVID-19 cases some of them don¡¯t believe the virus is real.
"I think the hardest thing to watch is that people are still looking for something else and they want a magic answer, and they don¡¯t want to believe that COVID-19 is real,¡± she said.
¡°People want it to be influenza, they want it to be pneumonia, and we¡¯ve even had people say, 'I think it could be lung cancer'." She recalled that one of her patients¡¯ last words were, ¡°This can¡¯t be happening. It¡¯s not real.¡±

¡°Their last dying words are, ¡®This can¡¯t be happening. It¡¯s not real.¡¯ And when they should be... Facetiming their families, they¡¯re filled with anger and hatred.¡± pic.twitter.com/tgUgP6znAT
¡°It¡¯s like a movie where the credits never roll,¡± Doering said. ¡°And it¡¯s hard and sad, because every hospital, every nurse, every doctor in the state is seeing the same things¡±.
In response to Jodi's revelation another nurse wrote, 'ER nurse from Illinois here, yes I¡¯ve witnessed people sick with COVID and still tell me ¡°it¡¯s a hoax¡± and refuse to wear a mask. In the hospital. While they¡¯re on oxygen'.
