Officers from Merseyside Police's Roads Policing Unit were left baffled when the driver of a BMW attempted to travel home in her damaged car, which was earlier involved in a crash.
It is not every day that one sees a completely trashed car being driven across the road. However, this very unusual site was seen by the traffic cops in Liverpool, who too were left in shock.
Police stunned after woman drives smashed BMW post crash
The officers from Merseyside Police Roads Policing Unit were left baffled after they saw a woman attempt to drive her smashed-up BMW home following a bad crash on the M6.
The officers took it to their Twitter account, mentioning how they were "lost for words" after they recovered the vehicle as it made its way into Liverpool. Along with what they wrote, they also shared a picture of the vehicle showing the extent of damage from the crash.
As per the picture, the bonnet had been forced upwards as a result of the impact of the accident, which restricted the view through the front windscreen. There was some major damage caused to the front bumper as well.
The full post read: "We were lost for words when we saw this being driven along Queens Drive. The driver had been in an RTC on the M6 and decided it was safe for her to continue her journey into Liverpool. She has been reported and the vehicle was recovered and prohibited. "

People on the internet had some mixed reactions regarding the woman driving this smashed up car.
One user wrote, "That's atleast 15miles. How was she not stopped before queen's drive. How did she not crash again." Another user wrote, "So many questions raised from this picture , I guess the radiator was still intact, how could she see over the bonnet, was it not secure ???? I m Speechless much like yourselves."
A third user wrote, "Maybe the driver was in shock or felt it safer to be off the motorway? Might not be right but show some humility and understanding rather than shaming someone on line. Just another example showing how you need to work on your skills with the public."
