The four-month-old Wilodge Posh Spice, born at Lodge Farm in Shropshire, is a pedigree heifer. It was auctioned off in Carlise last month for twice the price of the previous best breed, according to reports.
The previous best breed was sold for ? 1,31,250 in 2014. Not only did Posh Spice break the record, but it also became the most expensive bovine in the UK and Europe.
Christine Williams and her late dad, breeder and livestock farmer, Don, built the herd back in 1989, according to a report by Independent. Of course, after Posh Spice fetched a record-breaking price at the auction, they were pleased.
"We never ever expected her to make that much in our wildest dreams. We are overwhelmed and equally delighted to have achieved this fantastic result," Christine reportedly said.

The decision to name the cow after Victoria Beckham, Christine said, was due to the fact that the mother's name was Ginger Spice.
"You always try to name the females and link them to the dam line. She wasn't moody or anything like that - we just try to link the females to the mother. I did suddenly think on the way down from the sale I hope Posh Spice's name isn't copyrighted or anything," she said.
Who bought the cow?
It was a team effort by Messrs Jenkinson of Cumbria and Biden and Davies of Greater Manchester, the cattle breeders.

After the auction, Will Ketley, the British Limousin Cattle Society's breed secretary, said the company was pleased and congratulated the Wilodge team.
"I would also like to thank all the buyers that made this sale a fantastic success for not only the breeders, but the breed itself," he reportedly said.
