After taking over the Internet giant, Elon Musk has not spent a single day without ending up in the headlines. His tweets have become the main source of entertainment for spectators who are enjoying the complete overturn of Twitter in just a matter of weeks.
Elon Musk meets Rahul Ligma
Following his acquisition of the company, Musk introduced new ideas to the company, which led to him firing a slew of executives and other employees from the company, the most notable being Parag Agarwal¡¯s exit. Amidst this chaos, a pair of pranksters hogged all the media sites with their perfectly-timed prank.
"Rahul Ligma" and his companion "Daniel Johnson" had a full-circle moment when they were "re-hired" by Musk. For those unfamiliar with one of the greatest pranks on the Internet, Rahul and Daniel are two pranksters who showed up at Twitter¡¯s headquarters weeks ago and staged their brainy prank to get the media¡¯s attention. They pretended to be employees of the company who were just fired by the new boss as they stood in front of the headquarters holding a box of their imaginary belongings.

At the time, the media could not catch up with the obvious prank and reported the news as certain data engineers being fired from the company. As the Internet caught on to the gag, even Musk joined in on the joke as he tweeted, ¡°Ligma Johnson had it coming.¡± After seeing the amount of media coverage the prank got, Musk deemed the pair ¡°one of the best trolls ever.¡±

Soon after, Rahul Ligma shared another video pretending to be fired by not only Web 2.0 but also FTX, two companies having major layoffs at the time. Seeing the buzz around Rahul Ligma and Daniel Johnson¡¯s parodies, Twitter¡¯s new boss decided to become a part of the fun. Musk posted a click with the prankster duo, having them on either side while the three snapped a photo in front of the Twitter logo.
Alongside the photo, Musk announced that the employees had been rehired. "Welcoming back Ligma and Johnson!" he tweeted, adding, "It's important to admit when I'm wrong & firing them was truly one of my biggest mistakes."

Twitter's new boss has been on a firing streak
The tweets from Musk come after he recently publicly fired software engineer Eric Frohnhoefer. Eric was given the notice after he engaged in public scrutiny of the new boss as they engaged in a war of words. The former Twitter employee called out Musk when he apologised for Twitter being "super slow in many countries," blaming the poor app function. Eric refuted this view and wrote, "I have spent ~6yrs working on Twitter for Android and can say this is wrong." The two had a bit of back-and-forth until Musk announced in a since-deleted tweet, "He¡¯s fired."
