McNeill, a guidance counsellor at the Academy for Technology and Academics in Conway, South Carolina, went out with an umbrella while the skies were cooking up a storm. No sooner did he get out, he was struck by lightning. The entire incident has been caught on camera and McNeill was lucky to have escaped the deadly lighting, thanks to the umbrella he was carrying.
Reportedly, he was going to his car, when on his way lighting came in his direction and struck him umbrella down. McNeill himself shared the ¡®shocking¡¯ video on Facebook.

He posted, ¡®Cameras caught my crazy experience with lightning. Supa thankful to have been able to motor scoot out of there without major injuries.¡¯
"I took a chance and I said, 'I hope I don't get struck by lightning'. I felt a shock. It was just kind of insane for it to happen like that. I was just trying to get home and get something to eat," WMBF quotes him as saying.
