Ankita Chawla turned her account page into a creative resume She designed her CV and posted it as a collage on her account. This out of the box idea of hers did not go unrewarded and she eventually started to get noticed by companies.
The beginning of 20s is a tense time. There is panic to get a job, become independent and earn a living. Internet has made job hunting quite easy, though the competition out there is immense, but the knowledge about openings at your dream workplace was never easier to access.
Most of us use an efficient platform like LinkedIn to keep a tab on and hunt jobs, but that does not guarantee being noticed by companies we aspire to work for. So, this 20-year-old girl decided to hunt for a job, the unconventional way. She took help of social media all right, but not a professional job platform - she used Instagram!
Ankita Chawla probably put Instagram to the most efficient use ever, as she turned her account page into a creative resume. She designed her CV and posted it as a collage on her account; it is pretty creative and impressive. Take a look at it:

This out of the box idea of hers did not go unrewarded and she eventually started to get noticed by companies.
Reportedly, when she was asked about the inspiration or the thought behind the idea, she said that while her friends were bagging their first jobs, she was struggling with finding one. This made her want to do something different to attract the attention of employers, to not only her idea but also her skills.
Apparently, she devoted 60 hours in designing her Instagram resume and another 5 hours in its execution. It was not long before she managed to attract the attention of Deloitte India. She was offered her first job via Instagram and is currently working there as a visual content creator.

Reportedly, when she was asked about the potential failure of her idea she replied, ¡°I was a little skeptical at first because it wasn¡¯t a traditional format that an employer is used to see. I knew my resume was a misfit among the other resumes that were going out and I knew that brought with itself a chance for failure and criticism but I eventually embraced it.¡±
Her account having accomplished its purpose says, ¡®Now hired!¡¯ in the bio.
What we learn from this is that if you have a crazy, unconventional, out of the box idea, do not be scared to put it into action. Just because it is not ordinary or ¡®professional¡¯ does not mean it might not work. Companies out there are on the look out for people who think differently, so if you are that person, put your skills to good use.
Also, needless to mention, this is probably the best use of Instagram ever!
