For The Riot Drill Post Ayodhya Verdict, UP Cops Used Their Batons As Fictitious Horses, Here's Why
The Firozabad Polices riot drill in anticipation of scenes post Ayodhya Verdict turned out to be a huge laugh riot. In the bizarre anti-riot drill video the cops can be seen using their batons as pretend-horses something that kids at primary school would do. Many mocked the drill saying it was a poor remake of the Harry Potters quidditch game where they ride on magical brooms.

However, soon after the troll army started rolling up the sleeves to churn out hilarious jokes, the Firozabad police posted a clarification online.
The tweet explained that ,"During a riot control drill, police teams have a formation to deal with the unruly men and rioters. In the formation, the third team is horse mounted police units. Due to the absence of horse-drawn police in the district, the police action has been made a symbolic exercise by the constables.¡±
Basically, since the academy didn't have horses, they resorted to make believe horses.

Defending the drill , Prabal Pratap Singh, superintendent of police (city) told TOI that the police have set' parameters and standards' when it comes to riot controlling.
Okay so UP police has an answer. They say mounted police are supposed to come third in a riot drill. But Firozabad doesn't have horses. So they substituted with sticks like Harry Potter wizards about to fly ?. Riding pretend horses like they shot pretend guns "thain thain" ? https://t.co/4wbOb4pjMA

He adds, "The policemen were made to use batons as fictitious horses so that when a situation arises, they can implement what they have practised."
According to Singh, a demand of 10 horses for riot control has been made to higher authorities.
