US Midwest Is Colder Than The South Pole Right Now & People Are Doing Weird Things To Prove It
As a polar vortex has forced the temperatures to drop further, much of the U.S. Midwest is experiencing nail-biting cold. According to Reuters, the conditions are so unbearable that trash-haulers stopped making pickups and mail carriers suspended deliveries.

Classes were cancelled for Wednesday and Thursday in many cities, including Chicago - home of the nation's third-largest school system.
It's so cold that if you toss boiling hot water into the air, it may immediately freeze. Some areas experienced lows that felt like ¨C50 degrees.
And people are showing just how bad things really are:
They can now blow ice bubbles:

And yes, the cold is wrecking coffee too!
So, what is a Polar Vortex and why is this happening?
¡°The term ¡®polar vortex¡¯ has become more commonly used in the past couple of years but the phenomenon has been around forever,¡± National Weather Service meteorologist Mark Chenard told Reuters in an interview.
An arctic front which has ushered in record cold temperatures across the Midwest will move into the eastern U.S. today. However, temperatures are expected to gradually moderate late in the week. pic.twitter.com/eV8d3XIsj9

A polar vortex is an upper-level low-pressure area that lies near the Earth¡¯s poles. It is a large pocket of biting air, typically the coldest air in the Northern Hemisphere, which sits over the polar region during the winter season.
According to this report, on occasion throughout winter the vortex will expand and send cold air southward with the jet stream.

This has nothing to do with global warming and President Trump was wrong to ask for 'Global Waming' to make a come back.
Scientists say higher temperatures in the Arctic have led to historically low levels of ice there. That, in turn, has led to changes in the jet stream, causing the polar vortex to buckle.
Amen to those who have no choice, but to get dressed like this to step out and also, Delhites who feel it's too cold need to reassess their definition of cold.
