Video Shows Woman Dancer Getting Shot In The Face By A Man After She Stops Dancing At A Wedding

Dancers - especially female - who usually entertain in parties and weddings are often looked down upon for what they do. While it is both unfair and wrong to do so, one doesn't expect people to be so inhuman, so as to shoot them for taking a little break.

A woman in UP¡¯s Chitrakoot is critical and fighting for her life, after she was shot in the face when she stopped dancing for a few seconds, at a wedding. The chilling incident took place on December 1 at Tikra village.

The horrifying video of the incident went viral on social media. In the video, a woman can be seen dancing on the stage with her co-performer when they suddenly stop. After which, a gun-wielding man can be heard saying ¡°Goli chal jayegi (shots will be fired).¡± Another man, who is sitting next to him then says, ¡°Sudhir bhaiya, aap goli chala hi do (Brother, you should fire the gun).¡±

After this, someone behind her shoots her in the face, which takes everyone by surprise.

The incident took place at the wedding of village head Sudhir Singh Patel's daughter. According to the police, the groom's maternal uncles, Mithilesh and Akhilesh, who were on the stage, were also injured in the firing.

According to reports, one of the village head¡¯s family members shot at the woman. On Sunday, the groom¡¯s paternal uncle filed an FIR against the man. A case of attempt to murder has been registered by the police, however, no arrests have been made so far. We still don't know if the accused had a license for the gun or not.

"We are trying to arrest the accused. We are making all the efforts to bring the culprit to justice," senior police officer, Ankit Mittal, said.

Recalling the incident, another woman who was co-performing with the victim, told News18, ¡°We were dancing when a man asked us to stop. We co-operated and even the music was stopped. We were waiting on the stage and suddenly the man (accused) aimed directly at Hina and fired a shot. She was hit in the chin and suffered serious injuries. It was just Hina who was hurt and no one else.¡±

The victim was immediately rushed to a hospital in Lucknow.

Misuse of power is a very common thing in India as people are not afraid of the law and the judiciary. This will only stop when stricter laws are made so that people shudder at the very thought of committing such crimes.
