Adventure Turns Tragedy: Boy Dies, Mother Injured As Parasailing Cable Snaps At 200 Feet!
Adventure sports like parasailing and paragliding are fun, but one always has this fear at the back of one¡¯s mind that the wire might snap. In an unfortunate case, that fear came true for a mother-son duo.
Mark Mitrofanov and his mother were parasailing in Turkey when the cable broke at 200 feet and they crash landed into a palm tree. Unfortunately the Russian tourist died.
The duo was left flying out of control in the winds after the cable to a speedboat became detached.

The mother survived but has suffered facial injuries; she is admitted in a hospital in the Turkish resort Antalya.
The 18-year-old - who was going to join medical college - was rushed to the hospital but succumbed in intensive care from severe head injuries.
Tatiana Mitrofanova reportedly said, ¡°We enjoyed the views for about a minute, then the cable snapped.he cable broke and we flew towards the road and palm trees. The only thing I remember after that is that we were 'braking' on the palm trees.I thought we'd fall in a hotel grounds and this is what happened. When I opened my eyes there was a woman in glasses.¡±
She further said, ¡°I saw Mark, he was lying and I did not see him speaking. There also was someone next to him. I was put in the ambulance and brought here.¡±
Cables and rides breaking is not something unknown. Sometime ago, a ride broke in half in Gujarat. 2 people died and the rest were injured.
There is no knowing when an adventure turns into a tragedy.
