"I just got a verbal warning for discussing my period on the job," the woman conveyed her displeasure. Because I'm a supervisor, evidently the requirements are 'different' because I made someone 'uncomfortable. I didn't even bring it up because one of my supervisees was complaining about period cramps. I informed her I was as well. That was the end of it."
"Got a talking to from the same HR lady who gave a lecture last year on gender inequality in the workplace," she continued. Her words of wisdom? "Take less time getting ready in the morning so that men will take you seriously."
Internet wasn't happy about it
Reddit users raced to the comment area shortly after the post was shared to express their thoughts. "How is that inappropriate?" one user asked. "As a manager, I've had staff call in sick due to menstrual cramps. One of them had to go to the hospital as a result of it. It's an unavoidable topic concerning employee well-being, and your coworkers must mature."

Another added, "I do autopsies for a living. Part of my job is removing uterus and ovaries. Every day the techs are elbows deep in someone. One dude tech would leave the room if we started talking about. I just didn't get it. It's childish at that point."

"I'm sorry, I can't think of an appropriate response to your feedback, could you give me a moment?" Walk off laughing in a derisory manner," added another."
