Watch: Woman Managed To Pull In A Large 450 Kilogram Bluefin Tuna On Board Her Boat All By Herself
Netizens are impressed by Michelle Bancewicz Cicale, who single-handedly hauled a 450 kg fish onto her boat all by herself.
It is not an easy job to haul a big catch onto a boat. To haul a massive fish, one needs a lot of strength, technique and practice. So, if you think a fisherman's job is easy, you have to think twice. While it may be easy to transfer small fish to the boat, a big one needs completely different equipment and obviously more than just one person to do the needful.
But a woman named Michelle Bancewicz Cicale managed to bring a 450-kilogram bluefin tuna fish on her boat all by herself at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire, USA.
A clip of the same was posted on Reddit, which was taken of Cicale's Facebook and Instagram pages. It honestly showed how much effort it takes to get the giant fish onboard the boat.
According to a report by Ladbible, Cicale has not been fishing for a long time. She started catching tuna in 2015 and bought a boat in 2019 - The FV No Limits.
However, just in a few years, she has gained quite a reputation for catching some large fish. Her first solo haul was last year becak in 20221 when she caught a huge fish that was 90 inches long and weighed over 120 kilograms. Even when its head and tail had been removed it was known as 'dressed' in the fishing world.
Last year in October she again was in the headlines after she captured another mega tuna fish which was 643 kilos once 'dressed'.
Obviously, her most recent catch is the 450-kilogram bluefin tuna fish which is supposed to be dressed as of now with the head and the tail attached to it.
"I am very thankful for each and every one of them. They have all been super respectful and supportive of me being one of the only female captains in the area," she told a radio station in New Hampshire.
"It's not always easy to find any female crew who loves to fish as much as I do," she added.
Fishermen tend to catch the rarest of rare fishes around the globe. Last year, Sunderbans fisherman Bikash Barman and others from his team stumbled across a giant 7 feet long 'Telia Bhola' fish.
The fishermen used their combined strength to pull up the massive fish caught in their net. Once they managed to catch the big fish, they took it to the wholesale market where the price of the same is quite high
