Woman on Hinge asks for 7 crore Amazon gift card, man calls him 'digital bhikari'
A man on the dating app Hinge had an absurd conversation where a woman asked him to prove he's not gay by buying her an expensive Amazon gift card. After initially asking for 7 crores, she settled for a Rs 999 gift card to buy a Doraemon phone cover.
Dating apps have become a new form of scam. Taking people on dates and making them pay an exorbitant amount as a bill is becoming increasingly common. But imagine your match asking for money or gift cards upfront. This is what happened with a man on Hinge.
The conversation was rather absurd on the dating app. An anonymous Reddit user posted screenshots of the conversation in a post.

The woman texted the man out of the blue asking, ¡°You gay bro?¡± which led him to ask, ¡°um, what makes you think that?¡± The woman then responds by hinting at his dating profile on the app. The man replies, ¡°I mean yeah sure but what exactly? Dressing sense? Any of the prompts? Details? What?¡±
The woman then asks the man to prove he is not gay by buying her something. Then proceeds to ask him for a 7 crore Amazon gift card and later settles for a Rs 999 Amazon gift card to buy a cute Doraemon phone cover. The man calls her, ¡°digital bhikari,¡± and then advises her, ¡°Ahmedabad me law garden aur Mumbai me Dadar station pe zyada scope h ye cover wale business ke liye.¡±
¡°This time full chat since people were accusing me of staging the conversation or only sharing specific part in last post.
Also that "gay wrong activist" is just a pun, nothing against gays,¡± the caption of the post read.
