Croft said, "I was disgusted and furious. We've not had anything happen like this before."
How did the restaurant react?
Disheartened by the incident, he expressed concern that the restaurant's reputation might have faced irreparable harm without the timely discovery of the CCTV footage.
Croft conveyed his disbelief at the audacious ploy, stating to Southwest News Service,
¡°There are people out there that are willing to put a business¡¯ reputation and staff¡¯s jobs at risk for a $15.88 meal.¡±
He also recognized the potential repercussions for his kitchen team, mentioning,
"The kitchen team could have thought it was their fault when they had done nothing wrong."
The pub boss, proud of his establishment's customer service, impeccable reputation, and commitment to cleanliness standards, stressed,
"We have a five-star food hygiene rating and adhere to all the food safety guidelines. People don't want to eat in places where you find hair in food."
