A Family Trip He Won't Forget: Woman Pranks Brother With Dissolving Shorts During Trip To The Beach
A woman from USA's Tennessee is getting backlash for gifting her brother a pair of "dissolvable" swim shorts and filming him wearing those in the waters of a public beach as they disappear.
Pranks can get out of hand, and this woman is getting slammed for pulling one on her brother.
A woman from USA's Tennessee is getting backlash for gifting her brother a pair of "dissolvable" swim shorts and filming him wearing those in the waters of a public beach as they disappear.
Dara Roberts pulled the evil prank last month, and posted the video on TikTok. It has a whopping 28 million views. The video shows Dara's brother. Seth, wearing the bright blue bathing shorts. Seth is clueless about the true nature of the shorts which is that they will dissolve as soon as they touch water.
He is later seen going into the waters at a busy beach, completely unaware of what is going to happen to him.
The video also features Seth throwing around a football in the waist-deep water before he realizes that his swimsuit is almost gone. ¡°My swimming trunks ripped¡ bad,¡± Seth says in the video.
However, enjoying her brother's plight, Dara continues to film him and can be heard laughing at his embarrassing situation. ¡°Quit videoing me. I¡¯m serious,¡± Seth says. ¡°I¡¯m naked!¡±
He refuses to get out of the water until someone gets him a new pair of shorts, saying that he cannot be seen nude in public which is any sane man's fair point. However, this clip gets cut at this moment so it remains uncertain whether Seth got another pair of shorts or walked out of the water butt-naked.
¡°We still haven¡¯t told him the truth. Seth, if you see this. I¡¯m sorry,¡± Dara captioned the clip.
However, according to reports, TikTok users were not impressed with the gag and took to the comments section of the post to call out the sister for the insensitive prank.
¡°Funny in a backyard pool, but not in a PUBLIC place with your sibling,¡± wrote one user. Another commented, ¡°This is more embarrassing than funny. He sounded genuinely upset." Other users pointed out the fact that if the gender roles were reversed, and a woman had to go through something similar in public, the authorities could have gotten involved, and we believe it is a fair point to make.
The report adds that Dara posted a follow-up video expressing amusement at her haters.
¡°@ the overly sensitive TikTok users,¡± she wrote across footage of herself, which was accompanied by the song ¡°I Hate U¡± by SZA.
However, people were still teaming up against her for getting her brother in trouble like this.
