Highlighting the issues within the realm of delivery apps, content creator Swati Mukund recently took to Instagram to share her encounter with Swiggy. In her video, Mukund unveils a purported scam by Swiggy that is circulating in the market.
She recounts placing an order via the app at 8:20 PM, with an estimated delivery time of 30 minutes. However, her order failed to materialize until 9:00 PM.
Frustrated by the delay, Swati decided to contact Swiggy's customer care instead of the delivery person, requesting the cancellation of her order.
In her viral video, Swati narrated her conversation with Swiggy's customer care, explaining that she informed them her food hadn't been collected even after 45 minutes.
According to Mukund, the customer care representatives maintained that, according to their records, the order had been picked up at 8:40 PM, giving them until 9:10 PM to deliver the food.

Swati continued her account and mentioned her futile attempts to persuade the customer care team. Despite her efforts, Swiggy neither cancelled the order nor initiated a refund.
She concluded the video by expressing her disappointment: "So this is a reminder to myself never to trust Swiggy for your food needs ever again."
The post was captioned, "Swiggy not cool at all! This has happened with me and a couple of others I know, which isn¡¯t what I expected of you. I have been a regular user of that, but I guess serving customers food or good service isn¡¯t on your menu anymore. And I paid 150 rupees for delivery for a 1.8 km distance."
