21-year-old Tiffany Kendon was shocked to find a group of people that had broken into her home. She spoke to the media and told them that a masked man with a taser approached the room where Tiffany's sons--a one-month-old and a two-year-old--were sleeping.
Tiffany warned the intruders to leave her and her property alone. She feared for her children and was worried they'd be shot or tasered. However, the young mum warded off one of the attackers by spraying a can of RAID (mosquito repellant) in his face.
Terrifying home invasion turns young mum into action hero
The intruder's face soon burst into flames after the bug spray came in contact with the taser.
The terrifying home invasion came after a car crash opposite Tiffany's house on Monday, during which episode a handgun was allegedly dumped in bushes just metres away from her.
Two men responsible for the crash were convinced that Tiffany took the weapon after a person at the scene apparently spun a story. They then entered Tiffany's home, and the episode unravelled.
They also were carrying batons, knives and shortened firearms.
She said: ¡°They came in the front door and the back door, three of them, all in their 20s. They were yelling at us, 'give us our gun back, we know you have it, where's our f**king gun'. The main guy came upstairs with a taser and I was like, 'get the f**k out, I have a newborn, get out of my house'.¡±
Since Tiffany's kids were sleeping on the second floor, she tried to push the intruders away without waking the children up. This is when she saw the bottle of mosquito repellant. She used her quick thinking and put the spray to good use apparently aware of the gruesome result it would have.
After this, Tiffany pushed the man down the stairs. Seeing their accomplice's burning face, the intruders escaped the house and have still not been arrested.
Even though she has only lived in her home for a year, Tiffany plans to move from the area after being severely scarred by the incident.
