While Mukesh Ambani takes on the reins of Reliance, his better half Nita Ambani has taken on the role of Olympic committee.
For the unversed, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games is set to commence this weekend.
Nita Ambani has been re-elected as member of IOC from India
The philanthropist and founder of Reliance Foundation, has been unanimously re-elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) from India at the global olympic body's 142nd session in Paris.
¡°I am deeply honoured to be re-elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee. I would like to thank President Bach and all my colleagues in the IOC for their faith and trust in me," said Ambani on her re-election ahead of the Paris Olympics 2024.
It is scheduled to be held from July 26 to August 11.
"This re-election is not just a personal milestone but also a recognition of India's growing influence in the global sporting arena. I share this moment of joy and pride with every Indian and look forward to continuing our efforts to strengthen the Olympic Movement in India and around the world," she added.

Nita Ambani¡¯s association with Olympics began in 2016
In 2016, during the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, she was elected as an individual member of the IOC. As the first Indian woman to achieve this milestone, Ambani has made notable contributions to the international organization, advancing India's sports aspirations and Olympic ideals.
Ambani played a pivotal role in Mumbai hosting its first IOC session in over 40 years, showcasing India's ambitions to the world. India intends to bid for the 2036 Olympics.
