Bill Gates Shares Glimpses From His India Diaries, Says 'Can¡¯t Wait To Go Back Again'
Amongst a sea of prominent personalities was Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Interestingly, his visit to India wasn¡¯t just limited to the main event. From visiting the Statue Of Unity to meeting PM Narendra Modi, Gates had a gala time during his short stay in our country.
The world is going through an Ambani hangover! Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant¡¯s pre-wedding bash has been the talk of the town for almost a week now. It saw a bevy of celebrities and influential personalities marking their attendance for the three-day long extravaganza.
Amongst a sea of prominent personalities was Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Interestingly, his visit to India wasn¡¯t just limited to the main event. From visiting the Statue Of Unity to meeting PM Narendra Modi, Gates had a gala time during his short stay in our country.
He was left so impressed by India that he shared that he couldn¡¯t wait to return again in his blog Gates Notes.
"Last week, I got my wish and returned to India¡ªand now that I¡¯m home, I can¡¯t wait to go back for another visit," Gates wrote.
Bill Gates Meeting With PM Narendra Modi
The 68-year-old revealed that when he met PM Modi, the duo discussed how the Gates Gates Foundation played a significant role in supporting some of the country's goals.
"I had the privilege of spending an hour with Prime Minister Modi and some of his cabinet ministers. We had a great conversation about how the Gates Foundation can continue to support India¡¯s goals on digital technology, women-led development, and innovation in agriculture, health, and climate change," he wrote.
Gates Experience Of Visiting Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar
One of his stops was Hyderabad where he met Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani. Post that, he also met social media influencer Dolly Chaiwala with whom he shot a special video.
"My trip got off to a great start on Tuesday in Hyderabad, where social media star Dolly Chaiwala made me a delicious cup of chai. It was the perfect cure for jet lag. In Hyderabad I also met with Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, whom I¡¯ve known for years, and other experts who got me up to speed on the latest in digital public infrastructure, or DPI."
In Bhubaneswar, he got to meet Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik.
"I got to see India¡¯s DPI in action when I toured an agricultural monitoring center in Bhubaneswar. At this facility, government agriculture experts send advice and real-time updates to 6.5 million farmers via phone."
Gates Loved Interacting With College Students At The Indian Institute Of Technology In Delhi
"I love talking with college students, and my visit to the New Delhi campus of the Indian Institutes of Technology was no exception. The students and faculty were brimming with ideas and optimism about the innovations that will help solve some of the world¡¯s biggest challenges," he wrote in his blog.
Last but not the least, he also shared glimpses from attending Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant¡¯s pre-wedding festivities
"My trip was scheduled around the pre-wedding celebration of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Here I am with Paula Hurd and Nandan and Rohini Nilekani," he concluded.
