66-year-old Mukesh Ambani presently holds the 10th position on Forbes' list of the world's wealthiest individuals, boasting a net worth of $116 billion(Rs 9.6 lakh crore approx). Reliance Industries, established by his father in 1966, is an extensive conglomerate involved in diverse sectors, including refining, retail, financial services, and telecom.
Anant Ambani, at 28, is the youngest among Mukesh Ambani's three children, all of whom hold positions on the board of Reliance Industries. Specifically, he is engaged in Reliance's energy ventures and serves on the board of Reliance Foundation.
Some 1,200 guests are said to be attending the pre-wedding party and many have already arrived. The latest one who has made a grand entrance is none other than Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.
Gates recently grabbed headlines for collaborating with Dolly Chaiwala, a tea-seller. He posted a video along with him asking him for his famous chai.
Just a few hours ago, former US president Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump was also spotted exiting Jamnagar airport.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who is on an Asia tour, covered Japan and South Korea first so that he could attend Anant Ambani¡¯s pre-wedding gala. He arrived in style along with wife Priscilla Chan.
Other than Mark Zuckerberg, Ivanka Trump and Bill Gates, BlackRock co-founder Larry Fink, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai are other notable business tycoons set to attend the event. Saudi Aramco's chairman Yasir Al Rumayyan, COO Meta Javier Olivan, CEO of Adobe Shantanu Narayen, Former CEO of 21st Century Fox James Murdoch, Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger, and Berkshire Hathaway's Ajit Jain have also been invited.
"The guest list appears to have more RSVPs from global corporate titans than the weddings of Mr Ambani's two older children in 2018 and 2019, underscoring Reliance's growing clout and role as a conduit to the Indian economy for global tech, media and energy giants," Bloomberg wrote.
