1.Ratan Tata
The former chairman of the Tata Group, Ratan Tata, revealed a deepfake video on Instagram in December 2023 in which he purportedly offered financial advice. The video, which was uploaded by user Sona Agarwal, purportedly showed Tata giving advice on investments and included a statement implying that viewers could increase their investments "risk-free."

The co-founder of Infosys, Narayana Murthy, brought attention to the fact that there are multiple deepfake videos of him that are circulating online.
¡°In recent months, there have been several fake news items propagated via social media apps and on various webpages available on the internet claiming that I have endorsed or invested in automated trading applications," Murthy had written on the microblogging site.

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar had revealed on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) in January 2024 that there was a deepfake video promoting a mobile application featuring his image that was making the rounds on the internet. He conveyed his shock at the pervasive abuse of technology.
¡°These videos are fake. It is disturbing to see rampant misuse of technology. Request everyone to report videos, ads & apps like these in large numbers. Social Media platforms need to be alert and responsive to complaints. Swift action from their end is crucial to stopping the spread of misinformation and deepfakes," Sachin Tendulkar had tweeted on X.
4.Virat Kohli
Besides Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli's video too has been used by online scammers to create fake adverts using deepfake technology. In February 2024, deepfake videos of Vrat Kohli were being circulated on social media, wherein there were ads promote a betting application, falsely claiming that Virat endorses high returns from small investments.
5.Priyanka Chopra
In a deceptive video, actress Priyanka Chopra was seen promoting a product and revealing her yearly salary. In contrast to certain other actors, Priyanka's face doesn't change in contentious videos. However, a phony brand advertisement has been used in place of her voice and lines from the original video, as per a Mint report.
6.Alia Bhatt
Actress Alia Bhatt too appeared in a deepfake video that was later shown to be fraudulent. In the widely shared video, Bhatt's face was digitally superimposed on the body of another woman who was seated on a bed.
