However, his net worth is expected to recover that damage pretty soon, with Adani Group¡¯s stocks on the rise in recent weeks and months.

As per the Bloomberg billionaire index, Gautam Adani currently has a net worth of $96.8 billion, which makes him the 14th richest person in the world (as of January 11, 2024). The bulk of Gautam Adani's wealth comes from his stakes in six publicly traded companies that are part of the Adani Group.

Those six Adani group companies in which the billionaire's stakes help form his mammoth net worth are Adani Enterprises (73%); Adani Power (70%); Adani Total Gas (37%); Adani Energy Solutions (73%); Adani Ports (66%); and Adani Green Energy (56%). Each of the companies is publicly traded on India's stock exchanges.

Among his biggest stakes are: stake in Adani Group's flagship firm, Adani Enterprises, worth $30.8 billion; stake in Adani Total Gas, worth $5.3 billion; stake in Adani Energy Solutions, worth $11.1 billion; stake in Adani Ports, worth $20.2 billion; and stake in Adani Green Energy, worth $17.9 billion. As per Bloomberg, Adani's net worth also includes about $3 billion in miscellaneous liabilities.
