A research intern at IIT Delhi, identified as Hrithik Talwar, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share how Zomato came to the campus and offered a salary package of Rs 1.6 crore for the role of an Algorithms Engineer but withdrew it later.

When Was The Tweet Posted?
On November 26, the IIT intern shared a photo of the notification he got which gave an update of the application withdrawal and urged students to withdraw their application as Zomato had withdrawn the job owing to company constraints.
The post, which went viral and has already garnered over 1.8 lakh views, saw several retweets and comments from users. Some users wondered if the company had indeed offered such a high-paying role while others guessed that it was a marketing gig by Zomato.

A Twitter user asked the intern if he had mistyped the package as Rs 1.6 crore instead of Rs 16 lakh, which he denied.

About my college, placement offers are coming but there is exactly next to zero public info about how many students are placed
