In contrast, the Congress party experienced notable growth, securing victory in 99 seats. Meanwhile, the INDIA bloc exceeded expectations by surpassing the 230-seat threshold, presenting formidable competition and challenging earlier forecasts.
Edelweiss Mutual Fund Radhika Gupta Said That A Stronger Opposition Means Good Governance
After the final results were announced, various figures from different sectors shared their reactions. Among them, Radhika Gupta, CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, expressed her belief that India was poised to enter its third consecutive term under a stable government, fostering ongoing economic reforms.
"For all the drama of the last two days¡ at the end, we are likely to have a third term of a stable government, and continued economic reforms. Not many parts of the world can claim this. Yes the mandate is not as strong as predicted, but a stronger opposition perhaps means good governance," Gupta wrote on X.
