Microblogging platform Twitter has now officially become x.com. Elon Musk made the announcement today confirming the same. He wrote, ¡°All core systems are now ok X.com,¡±

In late 2022, the billionaire leader of Tesla, SpaceX, and other enterprises acquired Twitter for $44 billion(Rs 3.6 lakh crore). Subsequently, in July of the following year, he announced the rebranding of the platform to X.

The Domain Transition Is A Step Forward In Elon Musk¡¯s Rebranding Effort
Elon Musk's rebranding initiative includes transitioning the domain, marking a significant step in the process. However, the transition hasn't been without its challenges. While various aspects of the platform, including official accounts, mobile apps, and subscriptions, have embraced the new X branding, the URLs have remained linked to twitter.com.
Despite the logo and branding being updated to "X", the domain name stayed as Twitter.com until today.
Musk Wants X To Be An ¡®Everything App¡¯
Since 1999, Musk has consistently integrated the letter X into the branding of his ventures, beginning with his venture to establish an online financial superstore named X.com.
Upon acquiring Twitter, Musk established a company named X Corp to facilitate the acquisition process. Musk envisions "X" evolving into a super-app similar to China's WeChat.
WeChat, the Chinese app, surpasses X in scale, integrating messaging, voice and video calls, social media, mobile payments, gaming, news, online bookings, and various other services. Additionally, Musk has incorporated an AI chatbot named "Grok" into X, which was recently introduced in Europe.
