"Apple has done a fantastic job. Now, we aim to reintroduce real competition between Windows and Mac," Nadella said.

Microsoft Launches AI-centric PCs
The technology giant has unveiled a new category of AI-focused PCs, known as Copilot+PCs. Microsoft states that these devices will integrate a dedicated AI processing chip, greatly enhancing their performance.
Microsoft's Surface devices, as well as models from other manufacturers, are anticipated to be 58% faster than Apple's high-end MacBook Air M3. Priced from $999(Rs 83 thousand approx) these new computers are set to hit the market on June 18th.

Microsoft And Apple¡¯s AI Report Card
Microsoft's strong AI efforts are backed by its partnership with OpenAI, a leading research organization. This partnership seeks to place Microsoft as a leader in generative AI services. However, regulatory bodies in the US, Europe, and the UK are closely monitoring Microsoft's and its competitors' AI investments. They are assessing the impact on market competition and considering regulatory measures similar to those applied to mergers.
On the other hand, Apple is all set to unveil its AI strategy during the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference. Although lagging behind some tech rivals in AI development, Apple intends to incorporate advanced AI capabilities into its devices. The company is said to be working on high-performance chips for cloud computing servers to tackle complex AI tasks, while simpler AI functions will be handled directly on iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
