It¡¯s safe to say that Covid is behind us and life has returned to normal, pretty much the way it used to be before the virus turned the world topsy-turvy. For a good 2-3 years, many job workers adapted to working from home around the world. As a couple of years went by, many companies switched to a hybrid model of working to help employees ease back to office.

For a good 2-3 years, many job workers adapted to working from home around the world. As a couple of years went by, many companies switched to a hybrid model of working to help employees ease back to office.
In no time, hybrid models turned into working from the office full time. Some companies had to aggressively enforce return-to-office policy, including Dell.
Months after the tech giant prohibited its fully remote employees from being promoted, nearly half of its US workforce is opting not to return to the office.
Fifty percent of employees are choosing WFH over getting promotions!
Internal data from Dell indicates that 50% of its full-time US workforce and one-third of its overseas employees are still working from home, according to a report from Business Insider. Despite the company's stringent policies that prevent remote employees from being promoted, many have chosen to remain remote. This decision means they cannot advance in their careers unless they agree to return to the office or Dell revises its stance. Employees argue that the advantages of remote work outweigh any benefits of working from the office.
Working from home has improved their quality of life and they can now spend more time with their families.
¡°The more time I have to spend in the office, the less time, money, and personal space I have for all of that. I can do my job just as well from home and have all of those personal benefits as well,¡± an employee told Business Insider.
Another employee pointed out, ¡°I benefited a lot from being WFH since 2020 and had a lot of personal growth. I¡¯m not willing to give that up if I don¡¯t have to.¡±
Employees also emphasized that remote work enhances their quality of life, allowing them to spend more time with their families.
